Birmingham
The Colmore Building
Location: Birmingham, B3
Project Value: £17,000
Duration: 3 weeks
Overview:
Located in the heart of Birmingham’s business district, this project involved a full interior redecoration of communal corridors and adjoining office suites within The Colmore Building. The brief called for a finish that balanced the building’s industrial character with a refined, timeless aesthetic suited to its professional setting.
Approach:
We began by brightening the primary circulation areas with a crisp, Farrow & Ball “Dead Salmon” (No. 28) – chosen to enhance natural light and complement the exposed architectural features. To contrast the clean structural lines, we introduced a soft, warm neutral in the office suites, adding depth and comfort while maintaining a cohesive flow throughout. Every surface was meticulously prepped and finished using premium-grade paint to ensure durability and precision.
Result:
The finished space feels both sophisticated and welcoming – clean yet characterful, modern yet respectful of the building’s architectural tone.
